Affiliate disclosure

Some links to VPN and eSIM providers are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Pages with affiliate links say so near the top.

Commissions do not decide a status, a ranking or what we recommend. Statuses come from reader reports, public tests and provider notices, as described in how we rate. Where a short trip only needs an eSIM, we say so, even though a VPN would pay more.
